Louisiana Highway 456 (LA 456) was once the main route of U.S. Highway 71 and the Jefferson Highway auto trail. It ran from its current south intersection through Lecompte along Jefferson Hwy. and Hardy St. It then followed north to Louisiana Highway 470.
